Sarvoday Charitable Trust Blood Centre, formerly known as Supratech Voluntary Blood Bank, is a leading non-profit blood centre dedicated to serving society through safe and voluntary blood donation services.
Established in the year 2000, the blood centre operates on a “No Loss – No Profit” basis with the sole mission of ensuring the availability of safe, tested, and quality blood components for every patient in need.
In 2007, the organization shifted to its present state-of-the-art facility equipped with advanced automation, component separation technology, and specialized apheresis services. With NABH accreditation since 2010 and recognition as a Regional Blood Transfusion Centre (RBTC) in 2020, Sarvoday Blood Centre continues to set benchmarks in transfusion medicine and patient care.
To be a leading blood centre in the region with maximum outreach to voluntary donors and healthcare institutions while offering comprehensive blood components and advanced therapeutic procedures.
Sarvoday Charitable Trust Blood Centre (SCTBC) is an exclusive state of art blood setup celebrating 25 years of saving lives, this milestone belongs to our generous blood donors, dedicated staff and medical community whose faith in us made this possible.
What was started as a value added service for their patrons, SCTBC has grown into a pillar of healthcare excellence with the integration of morden technology in this city of Ahmedabad and our unwavering commitment to a safe, steady blood supply remains our priority.
From our inception, we recognised that true patient safety in blood banking begins and ends with the mitigation of Transfusion transmitted infections(TTI)
For a quarter of a century, we have treated TTI prevention not merely as a regulatory requirement, but as the core factor of our operational existence. We understood early on that guarding the window period of infections was critical to saving patient lives.
We are the first and only blood centre in the Gujarat to introduce and offer electro chemiluminescence( ECLIA) along side NAT( Nucleic acid Amplification Test) .
By adopting gold standard dual testing strategy, we aim to drastically close the window period for viral detection, ensuring that blood components leaving our facility meet the highest possible thresholds of biological safety.
Sarvoday Charitable Trust Blood Centre was established as Supratech Voluntary Blood Bank with a vision to provide safe blood services to society.
Shifted to the current facility with advanced automation, blood component facilities, and apheresis services.
Achieved NABH accreditation, becoming one of the first blood banks in India to receive this prestigious recognition.
Recognized as a Regional Blood Transfusion Centre (RBTC), strengthening healthcare support across the region.
